Our 13th Cricket World Cup is all set and matches are going so well as the Indian cricket team has amazingly geared them up this time. This time total 10 teams are participating in the ICC Mens Cricket World Cup 2023 all across the world. Teams will participate in 48 matches planned for India meanwhile the round-robin round ( In round-robin, each team plays with every other team once) of the competition, which will be the way to hit the final. The Cricket World Cup 2023 started on October 5, 2023 and ended on November 19, 2023.
ICC Mens Cricket World Cup Points Table 2023
Importance of points table: Teams earn two points when it’s a victory, one point either for a tie or a no-result, and zero points when it’s a loss.
Round-robin round will be used for the competition, and teams will compete with the top four teams to reach the semifinals. The top two teams will compete in the final championship match.
- Win: After the win of the match, one of two teams receives two points for winning.
- Tie: If a match gets a draw, each of the two teams gets one point only.
- Result: In the event, due to inclement weather or for other reason the match gets postponed both of the teams typically get one point.
- Loss: On the other hand, if any of the teams loses the match then it won’t get any point.
In each over, the average run scored by a side gets subtracted from the average runs allowed by the other team in each over to evaluate the net run rate (NRR). If two or more teams are tied for points, it is a matter of concern.

- Round-robin pattern: Ten teams play with each other once in the group stage to reach the semifinals.
- Points: 2 points for winning, 1 point for tie or no-result, 0 points for losing.

- Semi-finals: 1st vs. 4th, 2nd vs. 3rd in knockout matches.

The first match of Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled between England and New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujrat on October 5, 2023. The ICC World Cup Point Table for 2023 will be up to date after each match in accordance with the ICC regulations.
The winning team will earn two points and the defeated team will earn zero points. Both participating teams will earn one point when a match is relinquished whether due to inclement weather or any other reason, it always ends as a draw.
