The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports released the list of accolades for the National Sports 2023. Gratitude to each individual and institution that provided excellence to the capable talents of India in their respective fields of Sports. The awards ceremony, being held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, witnessed the perseverance and diligence of our sportspersons, coaches, and institutions for the magnificent contributions to sports across the country.
National Sports Award 2023
President Droupadi Murmu has felicitated our recipients with Arjuna Award to versatile sports persons at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Arjuna Award, is considered as the second-highest athletic honour to bestow Indian sportsperson for commendable performance, is honours for elucidating sportsmanship, leadership, consistency, and discipline for the best performance over the years.
Many athletes in India across sundry sports got selected for the National Sports and Adventure Awards 2023, including World Cup star Mohammed Shami, Asian Games heroes Ojas Pravin Deotale, Parul Chaudhary, and Shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar. The Ministry of Sports in December had announced the nomination of awardees for the annual sports awards, validating the prestigious Khel Ratna Award for badminton players – Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and with the Arjuna award will facilitate 26 sports persons.
