Indian Army Launched Battle of Minds Quiz as a Mark to 25 Years of Kargil War

The Indian Army is commemorating 25 years of victory of Kargil this year. An initiative to foster the knowledge and empower the youth, Indian Army has launched “Battle of Minds” – Indian Army Quiz 2023 along with a logo which symbolizes our victory at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment Area. 

The idea behind this initiative is to remember the courage, bravery and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the Kargil War to protect the country. A heartfelt tribute to all the soldiers who perpetually fought for us in the Kargil War.

This initiative will boost the confidence of youngsters to know about the army’s commitment and it will also help them to nurture intellectual growth and inspire the future generations across the country. This initiative celebrates the sacrifice of martyrs and aims to ignite the spirit of inquisitive & young Indians who will make and shape India to be a better place.     

Battle of Minds Quiz Launch Event Details

Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, Vice Chief of the Army Staff has attended the event. Mrs Archana Pandey, president of Army Wives Welfare Association has launched the logo for the quiz competition.

Param Vir Chakra Awardees, Yogendra Singh Yadav, Retired Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar were present along with school principals across the country at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment Area.

This Quiz will be organized in around 1.5 lakh schools and 762 districts all over the country. It is expecting registration from approximately 15000 schools. It aims to engage 1.5 crore students across the nation for quiz competitions.

Schools will participate with teams of three students along with one reserve and keeping one female student participant will be compulsory. Age groups of 10 to 16 years and Standards sixth to tenth can register or enrol themselves for this Quiz. The contest will be Organised in both online and offline mode.

Battle of Minds Quiz will have Three Modes:

  1. Beginning at the Regional Command Level
  2. Second will be Inter-Command Level
  3. 3rd will be National Level

The competition will be organised in two stages, attempting that set of questions will show your reasoning ability and aptitude. The first stage of the quiz will begin with an online elimination round where students will have to tackle a series of intellectually stimulating questions.    

The contenders who will be able to qualify for the 1st stage of online round will head to the second stage of the Quiz of Regional Command Level and 3rd stage offline competition will have Grand Finale. This pattern for quiz takes the guarantee for an equitable and demanding assessment to evaluate the knowledge, capabilities, and personality development skills, and deserving students will make room for winning the trophy. 

Battle of Minds Quiz will meticulously keeps track to maintain the five key elements:

Inclusivity – The competition will be open to all schools where medium of teaching will preferably English.

Equity – Keeping one female student to maintain the gender ratio. 

Fair Play – evaluation will be on merit for each participant.

Free Registration – NIL for all the students

Accolades & Prizes:

Schools, students, teachers will be facilitated with Awards and prizes above than four crore rupees including buses for the top 12 schools and 360 laptops for students and teachers.

The name, logo and tagline have been chosen for this initiative that holds a profound significance, reverence in our hearts with the esteemed legacy of our Soldiers and Indian Army. 

The logo symbolises the sense of unity and discipline, whether the base of maroon colour along with the metallic bronze colour border reflects power, bravery, strength and resilience and the crossed swords and Ashoka pillar signify readiness, vigourness, duty, and honour which embody the indomitable spirit and dedication of the Indian Army.
