India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup: India defeated Sri Lanka to Reach in Final

Highlights of India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023: Kuldeep Yadav played so well as he stopped Sri Lanka taking four wickets on Tuesday. India marked its victory by 41 runs to reach the final in 10th Asia Cup.

This win confirmed that India is going to play the final match in Asia Cup 2023. Teams that got selected for the semi final are India vs Bangladesh and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka. 

India Vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 Highlights:

On September 12, it was anticipated straight away and predicted that Sri Lanka spinners ruled this match. Sri Lankan Spinner Dunith Wellalage grabbed 5 wickets of Shubhman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya and on the other hand, Charith Asalanka took 4 wickets of Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav, Maheesh Theekshana took 1 wicket. So, Sri Lanka needed 50 overs to win the match.

At the end of 47 overs, until the rain stopped, India’s score was 197/9 in 47 overs. As the rains stopped and match resumed, the Sri Lankan pacers winded up the last wicket and India’s innings ended at 213.

Thinking of chasing 214 runs to win the match Sri Lanka lost 5 wickets initially to Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Siraj. Later, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandaya, and Ravindra Jadeja brought down the Sri Lankan innings, and India won by 41 runs. 

Players from the Sri Lankan team, no other than Dhananjaya de Silva and Dunith Wellalage could play well in front of Indian Bowlers.  

India Reaches to Asia Cup 2023 Final

After accomplishing this win, India has confirmed its mark to appear in the final. It will be the 10th Asia Cup where India will play in the final on Sunday. In Asia Cup 2023, India is at the top while Sri Lanka’s performance is better than Pakistan which creates chances for them too in Thursday’s match. Hence, Sri Lanka can create a win to make the final.
